Design of foundations

FOXTA enables the design of shallow, deep and raft foundations.
Complex analysis can be carried out with Foxta, such as:

  • piled-raft foundations;
  • rigid inclusions;
  • interactions between several foundations;
  • pile groups.
Foxta exists in French only at the moment.

Key points of FOXTA

  • user-friendly interface (Windows©) : enables for simple applications (1 single module), as well as for complex analysis (use of several comnied modules).
  • graphical displays of results.
  • numerous wizards: determination of qs and kp for example...

8 modules than can be combined:

  • FONDSUP and FONDPROF: bearing capacity of shallow foundations and piles, according to french regulations "Fascicule 62" and "DTU";
  • TASSELDO: elastic and oedometric settlement of shallow foundations with various shapes of vertical loads;
  • TASPOUTRE: behaviour of a beam laying on a multi-layered elastic soil;
  • TASPIE: vertical loading of a pile (bearing capacity and settlement), with or without negative skin friction;
  • TASNEG: negative skin friction along a single pile, or along a pile in a group;
  • PIECOEF: laterally loaded isolated pile;
  • GROUPIE: foundation on piles linked to a rigid slab (embedment or hinge).
